Toronto-based Loofka is a unique combo of diversely talented
musicians who create soundscapes that test the boundaries of conventional
music. Ranging from ambient to hardcore, Loofka's compositions defy classification
but reflect the band`s eclectic roots in rock, punk, reggae, industrial
and electronica. Channeling the spontaneous energy of the group dynamic,
the band experiments with rhythm and tonal texture, often venturing through
uncharted regions of the consciousness over a wide spectrum of emotional
experience. A piece will often build on a loosely conceived theme and explore
its potential with escalating visceral intensity. The music that emerges
